As most homes operate on AC (alternating current) electricity, a Master Electrician is required by Ontario Building Code to connect the AC side of your system to the house. They typically do not have the training or expertise with the DC (direct current) side of an off-grid system. Most elements of an off-grid system develop DC power, and a Certified Photovoltaic Technician is trained to design and develop DC systems including location, balance and batteries. This allows us to build a cost effective and balanced system for each individual client. Photoelectric, Sun Power or Solar panel systems need to be installed with a great deal of consideration. A poorly installed solar panel system will produce very little power. A poorly balanced system will produce excess power when not required, and not enough when it is required. We are able to balance systems with wind turbines, water hydro and generators according to your individual requirements. We then work with our Master Electrician to ensure all code requirements of the system are met.
